Today, we began to embark on our ICT Project slides. having formed the ideas last week, we will now collate our ideas and do our ppt slides

week starting 29th march, we will be meeting up twice.
1. we will be meeting up to discuss further on our lesson planning and full lesson powerpoint.
2. we will be sifting out our overall main points into a condensed powerpoint presentation.

week starting 5th april, we will be preparing on the group presentation and the cd.

After our final discussion, it has been decided that our lesson objectives will be on both, serving and spiking.

our group has decided to incorporate the skills involved in off-speed spikes and spikes. technical skills are researched mainly online and from our volleyball modules by Dr. Pyun Do Hyun. online/youtube videos can be linked to facebook and therefore our ict lessons will incorporate facebook with online videos. i personally feel that we can make good use the external knowledge provided by our professor to aid in our ict lessons.

Topic for the project

After discussion, my group has decided to focus our group project on volleyball for lower secondary students. The main focus would be on off speed spike and spiking during a volleyball game as attacking skills. At the end of the lessons, the students will be able to carry out proper attacking skills during a gameplay.

ICT Final Assignment

After the discussion this week with cheng wei and wan ching, we have decided to modify our concept used for our short presentation the previous week for our final presentation. our short presentation was on teaching secondary two students of mixed ability how to execute proficient volleyball services using facebook as a platform. our final project will be on using facebook as a platform once again. however, this time, it will be used to teach off-speed spikes, a technique that is of higher difficulty for secondary two students. if possible, we will also incorporate spiking, a high level skill, into the lesson. the lesson will consist of computer lab based sessions together with practical session on the courts, taking place over 3 weeks of 1 hr sessions including 1 computer lab session and 2 practical session on the courts.

some changes that we have decided to include consists of an evaluation session which we have yet to agree on. apart from that, all seems to be progressing smoothly before our next discussion session where we will begin to allocate individual tasks

Group Presentation

Our group presented on our volleyball lesson plan. We introduced Facebook for discussing and sharing ideas among students. Our lesson objectives were realistic and able to be met as we are helping students acquire basic knowledge of the sport. Our activities can also help students achieve the desired learning outcomes as they will learn basic techniques first before moving out into the playing field.
